Call a local granite or tile manufacturer or sales – Ask them if they sell fillers or if they can color match a caulk or grout.
It’s worth a shot.

I’m sorry, but I am a Kitchen remodeling contractor. The stone installers have polishes that are amazing. Plus they have people who do nothing else but finish stone. I don’t know another way to get it fixed right. It is easy to screw up. Apply too much pressure and you’ll gouge the top.
It shouldn’t cost that much. Use a local granite installer. Talk to them direct and find one who is willing to be reasonable.

Marble will work like wood. It is a soft, pourous material that really should not be used on a countertop – not even on a old dresser. It will react, foam up, with only vinegar applied to it.
That is the bad part.
The good part is that since it is so soft, you can probably get a buffer and go to an auto parts store and get some Maquires auto body rubbing compound, several different abrasive levels, and rub it out if they are not too deep. Then you should put whatever they use to seal it back on it and whamoo, the job is done.

Coincidence! I just got round this problem on a scratched black marble clock.
I made a paste using black epoxy paint (artist quality) and tile adhesive powder then filled the cracks using a small flexible spatula. , wiping the repair smooth with a damp cloth.
Finally, after letting it harden for a couple of days, I used ordinary black boot polish on a fairly soft brush.
A bit of elbow grease and the clock looked like new. Everyone was astonished at the great result, especially me and I am a professional repairman/troubleshooter

Removing scratches generally requires the use of several grades of honing powders and Diamond grinding equipment.

marble remover works great on this stuff. . .
You can find it from ZEP products at your local home depot
You can also ask in the tile department for this product. . . I think it is in the purple container. . .
