Can I use ceiling tile for a kitchen backsplash?
I throw away more time in my kitchen than I do somewhere else in my home. I need to spruce up my 60’s green kitchen prior to I give back to pedagogics in August. I need to replace the recent white and green marble formica backsplash with tin ceiling tile. Is this possibly?
I have found a distributor that has 2′ x 2′ sections for $6.25 in the steel color I want. I’m using steel because it is rudimentary for the colors i’ve picked and will compound well. I don’t know whether to use the nail up or dribble in. I thinking nail up with cornices.
The backsplash will coating the area roughly my countertops and the back of the stove.

Only if you like the spotted look, ceiling tile is not used or should I say made to with stand water,

is it the drop ceiling tiles because i have never heaerd of any one using them for a back splash but also im not sure if that would be a good choice, im not sure how stain resistant they are. .

That’s creative! You can certainly do it, but be sure to caulk anywhere water might get behind it.
Stainless steel is easier to keep clean but then you wouldn’t get the color you want. . .

yes it can be done, lots of people are doing that with copper tiles, it might not be a bad idea to coat it with poly or lacquer so it will be easy to clean, you can just nail them on and clear silicone and gaps
